One thing that people hate about having cars is its maintenance. It is a hassle to bring it into the auto repair shop. There is also the hassle in bringing your cars to an auto repair shop and waiting for it to be repaired.Plus it costs the owner a lot of money. What people do not realize is that just by doing simple maintenance to their cars they could have avoided those problems. They could have avoided expensive repairs that they have paid for.
During my ownership of my auto repair San Diego business I always advise my clients to do regular maintenance.I try to show them that just by doing simple things to their cars costly repairs can be avoided. But their cars will not only run better. They will be more happy with the performance of the car that they own. This can all be the result when they just take care of their cars properly.
First thing that they should do is to make their cars undergo regular tune ups.Tuning up your car will make it go smoother. And regular tuneups will also improve your car’s chances of passing a smog test. One of the biggest cause of failures in my smog test San Diego shop is the fact that people neglected their tune ups. By just doing regular tune ups they can avoid a smog test failure.
So another one thing I suggest to all my clients is to always check the brakes. One of the most costly repairs people bring into my San Diego brake service is fixing the brakes. Something as simple as brakes can cost a lot.It can really be costly to car owners if their car’s brake system needs to be replaced. But doing a step as simple as checking the fluid levels will prevent this from happening. Also, make sure to check if there are any noise coming from the breaks.Brake problems that are detected at an early stage will lessen the damage to it and of course also the costs.
These few simple steps when done by car owners will save them a fortune in repairs.

Cars are made better than ever before. Even cars once considered cheap last longer. But even though cars are now made well, problems still happen. One of the major problems a car can have is by having problems with the transmission. It is not just one of the biggest problems but it can also be one of the most costly.
So here are some things to look for that I have learned running my Escondido transmission repair company.First thing you have to check is your fluid level. If you do not do this then there is the possibility of damaging your transmission in no time.So make sure to have your dipstick always so you can check the fluid levels regularly.Be sure it is at a stable level.
The second you would want to check is if it is still clean. A dirty transmission fluid could be signs of a problem.Have your car checked immediately if you see any black fluid or if it already dirty. I get cars in all the time at my Oceanside transmission repair shop that have this problem. But in bringing in their cars early for checkups they were able to avoid more expensive repairs or replacements.
But if you go ahead and do the maintenance yourself then you should be careful.Be sure to buy the right type of fluid for your car’s transmission when you plan to change fluids.Putting in a wrong fluid does happen because people make mistakes and it can be surprising. If someone accidentally does this mistake then the transmission of his/her car would burn up in no time.So be sure to check that you are putting in the right kind when changing your fluid. I tell all my clients of my Escondido auto repair shop when in doubt just have professionals do it for you.Since it is a very expensive part of your car to replace it does make sense.
So if you follow these few pointers you may be able to maintain your transmission. Doing this only takes a few minutes but can save thousands.

One of the most expensive parts of the car to be repaired is the transmission. Most of the cars that are sold nowadays are built well. But it will be broken over time and it is vey expensive to fix.So you should make sure that you regularly maintain the transmission of your vehicle. So now let’s discuss what are the signs of problem to come for your car’s transmission.
First signs of problems with the transmission is usually the fluids. With a dipstick you can check if there are signs of a leak in your fluid levels. If you find that the fluid is low it could be a sign of a leak.If the fluid has a burnt smell or is dark in color then that is a sure sign of problems. So to make sure your car doesn’t suffer any severe transmission damage always check your fluids. If you observe one these signs then that would also be a sign for you that you need to go immediately to an auto repair shop. I catch a lot of transmission problems early in my Escondido transmission repair shop with these signs alone.
Another sign of problems for your car’s transmission is when you shift it into drive and there is a delay. If it takes your gear a moment to get in place when you shift then that would be a sign of problem. They call that problem a delayed engagement. This is a sign of a worn out transmission problem but there can be other causes. I have all my clients take it into my Escondido auto repair shop anytime they get the delayed engagement problem.
Finally when you are driving the vehicle if shifting of gears is jerky there is a problem. All the shifitng done when one is driving should not be jerky and should not slip. This is the sign of a worn transmission if your car jerks everytime it shifts gear. I catch a lot of problems early in my Oceanside transmission repair shop when this happens. By catching it early a customer can save a lot of money in repairs.

There are those people who really love their cars. They take care of their cars just like they do with their babies. Then there are other people who don’t even give it a second thought. They just use it to get around in. For those second group of people that is a wrong decision. So since it is such a big investment people should treat their cars better.
As mentioned earlier people give up a big chunk of their money to buy cars.Since they already paid a hefty sum for their cars then they should also take good care of it for it to last a long time. All my clients with my auto repair San Diego shop know this.I always remind them all the time that they need to make their cars undergo maintenance regularly. By taking good care of their cars they will have their cars last longer.By neglecting it they risk the cars and themselves in danger of an accident.
If their cars are already old then they should take care of it even more so that it can last longer. Especially when they don’t know how the previous owner cared for the car. If it is an older car it will also come up needing a smog check. If they wait to take care of their car after a smog check they run the risk of spending more money if it fails. I have seen this time and time again in the smog test San Diego shop that I run.If they just regularized their car’s maintenance they could have saved a lot of money.
Lastly, even if your car is old or new you should take care of your brakes. The brakes are a vital part of your car.It can save you from accidents when you need to stop immediately. But they can also cost a lot of money if you neglect them. Most customers are shocked with San Diego brake service repair prices after they have failed the test. Once again a little maintenance could have saved them money.

There are people out there who really love cars. They take care of their cars just like they do with their babies. Then there are those people who treat it just like something that can be ignored and would still be okay. They just use it to get around in.To ignore their cars would be a very bad decision for that second group of people. And since it is a big investment people should take care of it by maintaining its parts.
As mentioned earlier people give up a big chunk of their money to buy cars.Since they already paid a hefty sum for their cars then they should also take good care of it for it to last a long time. All my clients with my auto repair San Diego shop know this. I tell them all the time that they need to take better maintenance of their cars. If they take good care of their cars then it can last longer and they can use it for a long time.By neglecting it they risk the cars and themselves in danger of an accident.
With a used car they should even take better care to make sure their cars lasts.Especially if they don’t know how it was maintained by the previous owner. If the car is already an old model it might even have the need to undergo a smog check. If they wait to take care of their car after a smog check they run the risk of spending more money if it fails. I have seen this time and time again in the smog test San Diego shop that I run.If they just took the time to maintain their cars regularly then they could have saved a lot of money.
Last thing would be to take care of your brakes regardless of its state whether it is new or not.The brakes are one the most important parts of your car. They save you when you need to stop. But it can also be cause for a lot of expenses if you just neglect them. Most customers are shocked with San Diego brake service repair prices after they have failed the test.Once again a little maintenance here and there would have saved them a lot of money.
