Foreclosure Information: Nine Myths That MayWaste Your Time And Money

Monday, December 7th, 2009

You can find many myths about foreclosure. There are those that are based in fact however many are just foolishness.

Which is why we hope to clear up some of these myths with some foreclosure information that you can trust. So keep reading to find out what is true and what isn’t.

The Myth: The bank wants to foreclose on my house.
The Facts: The mortgage company rarely wants to foreclose on your home, they want the money they lent you paid back with interest. In fact, lenders usually hate going through the foreclosure process and will bend over backwards to negotiate with homeowners to prevent a foreclosure. Sometimes the mortgage company’s flexibility still doesn’t do enough to stop the foreclosure. That doesn’t mean that the bank “wants” your house.

The Myth: I was sent a notice of foreclosure; Now I have to move out.
The Facts: Just about all states’ foreclosure processes are drawn out. Even if you aren’t able to prevent foreclosure you do not have to move immediately. After a foreclosure you must go through an eviction hearing. If you did not move out, eventually you would be kicked out. You can use the time to make other plans for housing or to discover a way to save your house from foreclosure.

The Myth: If I get a chapter 7 bankruptcy it will stop foreclosure and will protect me from losing the home.
The Facts: A chapter 7 bankruptcy will stop your foreclosure temporarily. If you are looking at foreclosure, in the long run you need to take additional action to keep the house as the owner.

The Myth: I can present a unique plan to get current with my mortgage and show it to the mortgage company and they will support me.
The Facts: Banking institutions usually involve complicated bureaucracies and specific methodologies. Often the smartest plans were destined for refusal when conceived. Stick to a plan within formats and parameters the lender works with day-in-day-out to halt foreclosures. It is smart to get a foreclosure specialist who offers comprehensive scam free foreclosure programs to help you when dealing with a lender.

The Myth: I must take every action I can to save my house and continue to live in it.
The Facts: Sometimes people should move on and start over. Also there are situations where the owner simply hates the house and does not have a desire to save it. There is more than one way to get out from under a mortgage without ruining your credit by allowing a foreclosure or just walking away. The plan should be to find the least damaging option to get the result you want.

The Myth: When a judge hears my sob story she is not going to kick me out.
The Facts: A judge is going to follow the law regardless of your story. You may be granted more time, but you will just be stopping the action temporarily. Eventually you will have to move out if you do not work things out with the mortgage company.

The Myth: There is no one who can help me in preventing my house foreclosure
The Facts: There are many methods and many professionals who are able to help you stop foreclosure of your house. Loan-Modification-Masters.com is one such place to get assistance in dealing with a foreclosure.

The Myth: By filling a chapter 13 bankruptcy I will maintain possession of my home no matter what.
The Facts: When you file a chapter 13 bankruptcy it must be accepted by the judge. Not only that but you must make all the payments ordered by the court or you will forfeit.

The Myth: The lender is not going to make me cover their legal fees for foreclosing on my house.
The Facts: Yes they will. Review your mortgage contract, they made it quite clear. Don’t expect it to be cheap: $2000-$5000 is common.

Small Business Insurance Is a Must

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

Small business insurance is not a topic that business owners stand in line to talk about.  Yet insurance is a key part of a small business owner’s arsenal of business weapons.

What would happen to your business if you got hurt and could not perform the daily tasks that you need to do to make sure that your business thrives?  You need to have a tool that will cover your business in case something bad happens to you.  Purchasing a small business insurance policy will give you the tools necessary to do that.

One type of small business insurance you want to purchase for your business is key man insurance.  What this does is pay the business in case you die.  The reason this type of insurance is so important for a small business is that most small businesses would die with the owner.

You want to set things up so that your family and the families of the people that depend on your business can still survive if something bad should happen to you or any other key person in your business.

Another type of small business insurance that you should look into for your business is professional overhead expense disability insurance.  This covers the day to day expenses of your business should a key person in the business become disabled.  This type of policy could be a lifesaver to your business while you try to find a suitable replacement for your fallen co-worker.

Small business insurance is vital to the growth of your business.  You don’t want to spend your time and money building a business only to have it all fall apart because you get sick.  Small business insurance is something that you will have to purchase for your business at some point.  Don’t just purchase from the first place that comes up in Google. Be sure to get several different quotes and references before you decide to go with one insurance carrier over another.

Limited time only! Get unheard of deals on small business insurance before supplies run out. Visit atouchofbusiness.com and get the facts today.

Secrets to House Painting

Monday, June 15th, 2009

The most popular project for a lot of homeowners
is painting their home.A lot of homeowners enjoy doing things themselves around their house. To them, painting doesn’t seem that hard of a job.

If that is you, I would like to offer as a Painter in San Diego.Hopefully my years of experience will prevent disasters and messes to occur when you do a project like house painting.

First, you want to make sure the correct type of paint is chosen with the right paint color.  Sounds like this goes without saying, but a novice may not know the difference in picking paint for an exterior vs. paint for the inside of the house.  Thankfully a lot of home improvement companies have helpful staff to help you out, just like my staff of my San Diego painting company.

Second, is preparing the paint.  Surprisingly, the most crucial aspect of painting is not the actual act of painting, but in the preparation of the paint.

The time you invest when you prepare properly will become evident in the quality of your painting job.

So the room you are painting will need to be cleaned out.A room that is cleared makes it real easy to do a good job of painting.

Also, you need to clean the surface when you prepare.  Don’t think just because you are going to paint over everything, the paint will cover it all.A dirty wall is difficult for the paint to cover any stains or blemishes. This little tip can save you a lot of time and money because when it is clean you need less coats of paint.

Third you will need sandpaper.Sandpaper allows you to smooth out the rough surfaces which makes it easy to apply a smooth coat of paint.

Fourth, a caulk gun you will need. All walls are far from perfect. It could have cracks on the wood base or trim.  A caulking gun helps you cover it up and make a smooth surface.

As you can see, I provided these tips with the goal of making your paint job go smooth. It removes the hassle of things getting in the way.Or having to fix a wall that has blemishes and would need to be painted over. All with the goal of making it an easier job.

Do all this and not only will you be pleased in the outcome but a good quality job will add value to your home.

Now if you feel maybe this is a bit much to tackle, especially when you consider the value of your home being on the line. Give your local painters San Diego a call.

Low Cost Auto Insurance – How You Save Money Today

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Nowadays, with the economy the way it is, it just makes sense to take advantage of every opportunity you can to save money. Finding out how you can save with low cost auto insurance is a great way to start saving.

Finding low cost auto insurance for yourself is one very smart way you can start to cut costs. And when you start looking online for auto insurance quotes you will quickly find that you can save a lot of money compared to trying to deal with a local insurance agent.

The internet holds the key to finding ways to save money in our present day economy.

Auto insurance and other kinds of insurance too, don’t cost as much when you get them online because the companies that give the insurance policies don’t have to go through a middleman. This is really what an insurance agent is, a middleman, who gets paid by the insurance company when he or she sells you a policy. If the insurance company can avoid that, they are willing to pass the savings on to you.

Most people have had some experience with high pressure insurance agents trying to sell them an over priced policy, its great that now anyone can go online and grab a quote for themselves without all the annoying hassle of trying to deal with a salesman. Most times online, you can just get the insurance quotes emailed to you. This winds up saving you time and money.

There are a few other things you could do to keep your insurance costs down.

- Put together a carpool at work. This can get you a discount and save you time and energy.

- Keep your credit score up. Many auto insurance companies will look at your score and reward you with lower cost premiums if your credit is good.

- Avoid accidents and tickets. People with clean driving records get the best insurance rates.

- Get insurance quotes form more than on website. This way you can choose which is the best for you.

- Raise your deductibles. This one step has saved some people as much as 30 percent on their auto insurance bill. Don’t go crazy with this idea, you don’t need a problem. But raising your deductible some can help you save a lot of cash.

It’s hard to go overboard when its time to save money because the economy is so uncertain these days. Take a bit of time to research online and you will be able to find yourself some low cost auto insurance.
